Colossal Fossils, the non-profit dinosaur museum in Wausau, Wisconsin has a TON of new events planned for the fall months.  From September through December, the traveling history museum has a lineup that contains something for everyone.
 
 
Regular Hours - Colossal Fossils is open the 1st and 3rd Saturdays every month from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
 
September - Teacher Appreciation Month
Teachers and educators can bring their school ID card and get free admission during the month of September when open to the public (1st and 3rd Saturdays).  Elementary, High School, College, Public or Private.
 
Natural History Mystery - Sept 7, Oct 5, and Oct 19
Something has been eating the dinosaur fossils!  Come to Colossal Fossils downtown museum in the Wausau Center Mall and use your detective skills to find out who... or WHAT has been eating the bones.  Uncover clues, decode ancient artifacts, and complete the puzzles for a chance to win some really cool prizes!
 
Stevens Point Rock & Fossil Show - Oct 26 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Visit the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Stevens Point for a FREE event that your whole family will enjoy.  Check out the rocks and fossils that are for sale, and start your own collection!  Sign up for a chance to win cool prizes, watch a flintknapping demonstration, and check out a few of the Colossal Fossils exhibit items.
 
Flintknapping 101 - Nov 2 at 1:00 pm
Have you ever been curious about making your own stone tools?  Want to learn how it's done?  Join Sean "The Mammoth Hunter" at Colossal Fossils' downtown museum in the Wausau Center Mall for a fascinating, informative demonstration.
Normal admission price at the museum: $6/person with discounts for seniors/military/families.  Kids ages 3 and under FREE.
 
Marinette Fossil Fest - Nov 9th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
For one day only, Colossal Fossils will be bringing a large collection of its dinosaur fossils to the City of Marinette, Wisconsin.  See primitive skills demonstrations, check out the dinosaurs, browse our gift shop, and sign up for some cool prizes.
Price: $10/person; Kids ages 3 and under FREE
 
Friction Fire 101 - Dec 7 at 1:00 pm
Want to learn another primitive skill?  Let's make fire!  Join Sean "The Mammoth Hunter" at Colossal Fossils' downtown museum in the Wausau Center Mall to learn how fire was made thousands of years ago.
